Barcelona Manager Xavi Confirms they Preparing £50m for 22 year old Bayern Munich Star who wants to leave club this summer due to lack of play time

One of Barcelona’s main objectives for the upcoming summer transfer window is to strengthen their left flank, where they lack natural wingers.

While Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal prefer playing on the right, and even Joao Felix, if signed permanently, does not fit the bill as a traditional wide player, the Blaugrana are actively seeking an out-and-out winger to bolster their options on the left side.

Despite Athletic Club’s Nico Williams signing a new contract with a hefty €50 million release clause in December, Barcelona continues to monitor him as a potential target.

Additionally, they are exploring “low-cost” solutions, with Bayern Munich’s Bryan Zaragoza emerging as one of the options.

Zaragoza, a 22-year-old winger, made a move from Granada to Bayern Munich during the January transfer window.

His transition to Germany has been challenging, mainly due to the language barrier, resulting in limited playing time. Since joining Bayern, Zaragoza has only accumulated 35 minutes on the pitch.

With Bayern Munich set to appoint a new manager to succeed Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season, Zaragoza’s future at the club remains uncertain.

If the incoming coach does not envision Zaragoza in their plans, Barcelona could explore the possibility of a loan move for the Spanish international.

Prior to his move to Bayern, Zaragoza demonstrated promising form in La Liga, contributing six goals and two assists for Granada in 21 league appearances this season.

Given his previous performance in Spain, Zaragoza could offer Barcelona a valuable option on loan if they decide to pursue this avenue further.

Ultimately, Barcelona’s decision regarding Zaragoza will depend on Bayern Munich’s managerial appointment and whether the new coach sees the winger as part of their future plans.

If Zaragoza becomes available for a loan move, Barcelona could capitalize on his talent and La Liga experience to strengthen their left flank for the upcoming season.
