Jose Mourinho’s move to a Premier League club has been officially confirmed this evening.

Jose Mourinho finds himself without a managerial position following his dismissal from AS Roma in January.

His departure came after AS Roma’s Coppa Italia elimination by bitter rivals Lazio and a disappointing ninth-place Serie A position.

Since then, AS Roma has experienced a resurgence under club legend Daniele De Rossi and is actively pursuing a Champions League berth.

Despite his recent setback, Mourinho has been linked with various managerial opportunities, with speculation mounting over a potential return to Chelsea for a third stint.

Mourinho’s recent attendance at the Formula 1 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix sparked further discussions about his future plans.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho expressed his desire to return to management, highlighting his successful tenure at AS Roma, where he guided the club to two European finals in two years, a feat previously unaccomplished by the club.

However, he emphasized the importance of waiting for the right opportunity to avoid making a hasty decision.

Chelsea fans have demonstrated their enduring support for Mourinho, chanting his name during the team’s recent matches, including the 2-2 draw against Brentford.

The chants also expressed dissatisfaction with current head coach Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Todd Boehly.

During his first stint at Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, Mourinho led the club to unprecedented success, winning two consecutive Premier League titles and four domestic trophies.

His tenure was marred by semi-final exits from the Champions League, notably against Liverpool, including the controversial ‘ghost goal’ incident involving Luis Garcia.

Mourinho made a triumphant return to Chelsea in 2013, securing another Premier League title and the League Cup.

However, his second spell ended abruptly in December 2015 amid a poor run of results, with Chelsea teetering on the edge of a relegation battle.

Subsequent managerial stints at Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur failed to replicate Mourinho’s earlier successes, raising concerns among supporters.

The recent chants from Chelsea fans suggest that Mourinho’s legacy at the club remains intact, despite his subsequent managerial ventures.
