FC Barcelona Manager Xavi lists three conditions to stay at Barcelona – number two is practically impossible and fans are furious about such conditions

Xavi, the head coach of Barcelona, has outlined three key conditions for his continued role at the club, as reported by Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo.

Firstly, Xavi emphasizes the importance of Barcelona’s performance in the Champions League this season. He expects the team to either reach the final or secure victory in the tournament.

Additionally, he insists that Barcelona must remain competitive in La Liga until the end of the season, placing the responsibility on the squad rather than the club management.

Secondly, Xavi stresses the need for significant reinforcements to improve the squad. He expresses frustration with overreliance on young players, regardless of their talent.

As such, Xavi demands the signing of key players whom he has previously identified, such as Martin Zubimendi, Joshua Kimmich, and Bernardo Silva. These players are valued at no less than €50 million each.

Thirdly, Xavi seeks assurances that Barcelona can address their Financial Fair Play issues and register players in a timely manner for the upcoming season.

He is frustrated by the club’s last-minute efforts to register a significant portion of the squad’s salaries in La Liga, indicating financial limitations that hinder squad development.

While Xavi’s demands are reasonable, meeting the second condition presents a significant challenge for Barcelona.

The club’s financial constraints mean that signing players without first selling some would weaken the squad, a scenario Xavi aims to avoid.

Despite these challenges, Barcelona’s leadership remains optimistic about persuading Xavi to remain at the club by presenting long-term project plans.
