The PGMOL is facing criticism following a surprising VAR error made by the referee during the Liverpool versus Crystal Palace match, particularly regarding an offside goal and a foul following Crystal Palace’s goal.

Liverpool’s quest for the Premier League crown suffered a setback as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

The team displayed signs of fatigue and a lack of vigor, squandering crucial opportunities and experiencing their first home loss in the league this season.

With six matches remaining, Liverpool now trails Manchester City by two points and risks falling further behind if Arsenal secure a victory against Aston Villa.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had little justification for their lackluster display, placing their season in jeopardy, particularly with a probable exit from the Europa League looming.

From the outset, Liverpool appeared weary, conceding their 23rd goal of the season across all competitions when Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze found the net in the 15th minute.

A defensive error from Virgil van Dijk nearly resulted in another goal for Palace, but Andy Robertson’s goal-line clearance kept Liverpool in contention.

Despite glimpses of promise, such as Wataru Endo’s effort hitting the crossbar and Luis Diaz’s shot being saved by Dean Henderson, Liverpool struggled to capitalize on their opportunities.

Missed chances in the second half, including Darwin Nunez’s attempt and Diogo Jota’s blocked shot, underscored their ongoing struggles.

Towards the end of the game, Alisson Becker had to make a vital save to deny Mateta, while Curtis Jones squandered a golden opportunity to equalize.

Mohamed Salah’s late attempt was thwarted by Tyrick Mitchell, highlighting Liverpool’s frustrating inability to convert their chances.

Individual performances varied; while Alisson Becker made crucial saves, he also contributed to Palace’s goal with a misplaced pass.

Andy Robertson stood out, particularly with his goal-line heroics, while Conor Bradley struggled before being forced off due to injury early in the second half.
