The FC Barcelona coach was visibly upset as two key players sustained minor injuries during the Champions League clash with PSG, ruling them out of the upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are entering Sunday’s potentially La Liga-deciding El Clasico with relatively few injury concerns.

Real Madrid currently holds an eight-point lead over their rivals, meaning that anything less than a Barcelona victory would essentially secure the title for Los Blancos.

For Barcelona, a loss would cap off a turbulent week. Their Champions League hopes were dashed on Wednesday after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the quarter-finals.

In contrast, Real Madrid advanced to the semi-finals after a thrilling penalty shootout win against Manchester City.

Both teams are expected to field strong lineups for what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.

Vinicius Jr and Dani Carvajal, who picked up minor knocks during the midweek match, are likely to be available for selection on Sunday after being substituted in extra time.

Aurelien Tchouameni, who missed the Man City clash due to suspension, is set to return to the lineup with a full week of rest.

Barcelona, on the other hand, were without Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen in their last match, as both were serving suspensions.

While Ronald Araujo has been a key figure in defense this season, his red card in the midweek fixture may impact his inclusion in the starting lineup, depending on his teammates’ reactions.

Overall, both teams will be eager to secure a crucial victory in the El Clasico as they vie for supremacy in La Liga.
