Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly upset with two Manchester United players as Erik ten Hag faces mounting pressure to terminate their contracts this summer.

Ten Hag’s squad currently occupies the seventh spot in the Premier League standings, trailing the top four by a considerable 13-point margin with just six matches left in the season.

Alejandro Garnacho found himself in hot water after endorsing two tweets from Mark Goldbridge, which criticized the United boss following a draw.

The club’s spokesperson informed the MEN that the issue had been handled internally, but declined to specify if Garnacho faced direct repercussions from Ten Hag.

United emphasized that Garnacho, who appeared discontented after being substituted at halftime against Bournemouth, promptly unliked the tweets, signaling a backtrack from his initial stance.

This incident marks the second occasion this season where United has had to address a player’s public critique of the manager.

Jadon Sancho faced repercussions from Ten Hag after he refused to apologize for a dispute regarding his training efforts.

Following Ten Hag’s public call-out of Sancho in September, the player countered, alleging he had been unjustly targeted by the United boss, labeling the accusations as unfounded.

Sancho subsequently joined Borussia Dortmund on loan in January and could potentially depart United permanently this summer.

Reports from HITC suggest that Ratcliffe is displeased with the consistent leaks emerging from the club and the use of social media by players to voice criticism toward the club and its manager.

The report further indicates that while Ratcliffe won’t personally intervene in club discipline, he has expressed support for Ten Hag regarding the Sancho incident.

Going forward, he is determined to address any further instances of misconduct within the club, with a specific focus on player behavior.

United’s upcoming fixtures include an FA Cup semi-final clash against Coventry City on Sunday, followed by a Premier League encounter against Sheffield United on Wednesday.
