The Chelsea manager has acknowledged the shocking outcome of the Chelsea vs. Arsenal match yesterday, accepting blame for the loss while asserting his innocence regarding any wrongdoing.

Former Chelsea player Kai Havertz and Ben White each scored two goals after Leandro Trossard initially put Arsenal ahead at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite Chelsea’s impressive eight-game unbeaten streak, they suffered their second consecutive defeat in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

The loss to Arsenal was particularly humiliating for Chelsea, marking their worst defeat against the Gunners.

Unfortunately for Mauricio Pochettino’s team, this loss also set an unwanted record. Chelsea has now conceded 57 goals in the Premier League this season, the highest number in a single campaign in their history.

With six games remaining, Chelsea currently sits in ninth place in the Premier League standings.

This defensive performance is a stark contrast to their title-winning season under Jose Mourinho in 2004/05 when they only conceded 15 goals.

Havertz, who had a three-season stint at Chelsea before moving to Arsenal for £65 million, had a memorable night against his former club.

He scored two goals in the second half, becoming the first player to score a double against Chelsea after playing for them.

Interestingly, Chelsea’s social media updates during the match did not mention Havertz by name, indicating some level of frustration or oversight on their part.

Now leading Liverpool by three points at the top of the table, Arsenal will face Tottenham Hotspur in a highly anticipated North London derby on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will look to bounce back from their recent defeats with a challenging away fixture against Aston Villa on Saturday night.
