After securing a remarkable 5-1 victory against Wolves, Manchester City received a morale boost from none other than Arjen Robben, who was spotted motivating the team in the dressing room.

The impressive win, fueled by four goals from Erling Haaland and one from Julian Alvarez, narrowed the gap between City and Premier League leaders Arsenal to just one point.

With six consecutive victories in the top-flight, during which they scored an impressive 24 goals, City’s quest for a fourth consecutive championship remains very much alive.

According to reports from The Daily Mail, a host of football dignitaries attended the game, including City legend David Silva, who made his first return to the Etihad Stadium since leaving the club in July 2020.

Robben, known for his amusing anecdotes about Guardiola’s penchant for discussing work at any hour, lauded City for their triumph over Wolves and urged them to maintain pressure on Arsenal. Robben’s illustrious career spans stints at Groningen, PSV, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.

Over the weekend, Robben’s UK visit extended beyond the Etihad Stadium, as images of him at Anfield surfaced, where he watched Liverpool secure a 4-2 victory over Tottenham alongside former Bayern Munich teammate Thiago Alcantara, generating buzz on social media.

Manchester City’s pursuit of their fourth consecutive Premier League title hinges on winning their remaining three games. Guardiola emphasized the significance of the remaining two weeks in the title race, stating,

“The biggest importance is only two weeks left,” following the win over Wolves. He outlined the scenario, highlighting the necessity of securing nine points to clinch the title, acknowledging the consistency of Arsenal’s performances.

Guardiola stressed the importance of controlling their own fate in the title race by winning the first two of the remaining three games.

Despite the convincing 5-1 victory, Guardiola remained critical, pointing out areas for improvement, particularly in ball retention against Wolves’ formidable patterns of play, led by Matheus Cunha andHwang Hee-chan.
