The Liverpool boss admits the £122M creative star United are chasing could make them “unplayable,” insisting no team would want to face them if the deal goes through

A recent statement attributed to Arne Slot has sparked intense discussion ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Liverpool boss reportedly warning that Manchester United could become extremely difficult to face if they complete the signing of a highly valued creative midfielder.

According to the remarks, the player in question possesses such quality that his arrival could significantly elevate United’s overall level, making them a serious threat across the Premier League.

Manchester United are believed to be actively preparing for a major midfield overhaul once the current campaign concludes.

One key development already confirmed is the expected departure of Casemiro when his contract expires at the end of June.

His exit will leave a noticeable gap in experience and defensive stability, prompting the club to pursue a high-profile replacement capable of influencing games at the highest level.

Among the names linked with a move to Old Trafford are Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest and Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion. Both players are admired for their energy, technical ability, and versatility in midfield roles.

However, reports suggest United may not stop at just one signing, especially with Manuel Ugarte struggling to meet expectations since his arrival. There is growing speculation that he could be moved on as part of a wider squad reshaping.

In addition to these targets, United have also been closely monitoring Noah Sadiki, who currently plays for Sunderland.

The young midfielder has impressed significantly since joining from Union Saint-Gilloise, quickly adapting to English football and establishing himself as a key figure.

His partnership with Granit Xhaka has been particularly effective, combining defensive solidity with forward momentum.

Sadiki’s performances have been notable not only for his tackling and ball recovery but also for his relentless pressing and work rate.

Averaging multiple tackles, recoveries, and duels per game, he has demonstrated maturity beyond his years.

At just 21, he is widely seen as a player ready for the next step in his career, and a move to a bigger club appears increasingly likely.

Reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri indicate that Manchester United currently hold an advantage over Chelsea in the race for Sadiki’s signature.

This edge is largely attributed to United’s strong position in the league standings, which puts them on course for UEFA Champions League qualification.

In contrast, Chelsea are trailing behind and face an uphill battle to secure a place in Europe’s elite competition.

With United sitting comfortably ahead of their rivals, the promise of Champions League football could prove decisive in attracting top talents.

However, securing Sadiki’s services will not come cheaply. Sunderland are expected to demand a substantial fee, likely in the region of £45–50 million, reflecting both his current impact and long-term potential.

As the transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen how aggressively Manchester United will pursue their targets.

But one thing is clear: if they successfully land the right creative force, as suggested by Arne Slot, they could transform into one of the most dangerous sides in the league next season.
