Luis Diaz has left Liverpool to join one of the biggest clubs in world football!

Luis Díaz continues to be at the centre of major transfer speculation this summer, with top clubs from across Europe and the Middle East vying for his signature.

The Colombian winger, who has been a key figure for Liverpool since his arrival, is reportedly edging closer to the exit door amid growing interest from Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and several Saudi Arabian clubs.

As per a recent report from TBR Football, Bayern Munich appear to be leading the race at this stage. The German champions are said to be very serious about bringing Díaz to the Bundesliga and have reportedly offered to quadruple his current wages.

In fact, the report claims that the player has already agreed on personal terms with Bayern. Furthermore, Díaz has allegedly informed Liverpool of his desire to leave Anfield during this transfer window.

Despite this, Bayern have yet to reach an agreement with Liverpool regarding the transfer fee. The Premier League side, who recently reclaimed the title, are holding firm on their €100 million valuation of the player.

Although Bayern remain interested, they are reportedly only willing to go as high as €80 million. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will stand firm on their asking price or show flexibility as the window progresses.

Barcelona are also among the clubs showing interest in the 27-year-old. However, their well-documented financial issues make a move highly unlikely at this stage. The Catalan giants would struggle to afford such a high fee, and barring any significant player sales, a deal for Díaz seems out of reach for them.

In contrast, clubs from Saudi Arabia seem more than capable of meeting Liverpool’s financial demands. According to journalist Graeme Bailey, multiple Saudi sides have already entered talks with Liverpool regarding a potential transfer, and they are willing to pay the full €100 million asking price. Whether Díaz would accept a move to the Saudi Pro League remains unclear, as he is thought to favour a move to another elite European club if possible.

Interestingly, earlier reports had suggested that Liverpool might consider extending Díaz’s contract to keep him at the club long-term. However, those rumours appear to have died down, and no contract renewal talks have taken place. This adds further weight to the belief that Liverpool are open to parting ways with the winger this summer.

With the player seemingly keen on a new challenge and Liverpool possibly looking to cash in while his value is high, a departure could be on the cards.

Nevertheless, the Reds remain in control of the situation and will not be pressured into accepting a lower bid. If Díaz is to leave, the buying club will need to meet Liverpool’s valuation—and the club will then have the difficult task of finding a suitable replacement for one of their standout attackers.
