Vinicius Jr taunts Lamine Yamal during a heated El Clásico clash

This Sunday, all eyes in Spain were fixed on one thing — El Clásico, the most anticipated fixture in world football.

The clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona once again lived up to its billing, ending in a 2-1 victory for Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabéu. The game was filled with high intensity, drama, and controversy from start to finish. Real Madrid asserted their dominance right from the opening whistle, showing determination and composure as they looked to impose their rhythm on the match.

It was Kylian Mbappé who stood out with a brilliant performance, while Vinícius Júnior found himself in the middle of controversy yet again. But surprisingly, the player who captured most of the attention after the final whistle was not one of Madrid’s stars, but Barcelona’s young sensation, Lamine Yamal.

The 17-year-old winger became the center of post-match tension as several Real Madrid players confronted him over remarks he had made in the days leading up to the match.

The game itself was fiercely competitive. Real Madrid took control early on and never really allowed Barcelona to settle. Mbappé and Jude Bellingham were the scorers for the home side, securing the win for Xabi

Barcelona’s temporary equalizer came from Fermín López, but despite their efforts, the Blaugrana struggled to match Madrid’s energy and organization.

However, the real drama unfolded after the final whistle. Multiple Madrid players confronted Yamal for his pre-match comments. Dani Carvajal was the first to approach him, reportedly saying, “You talk too much,” in reference to the youngster’s statements made before the game. Soon after, Thibaut Courtois joined in, confronting Yamal and expressing his disapproval. The situation escalated when Vinícius Júnior tried to approach the Barcelona teenager as well, but he was held back by teammates before things could get physical.

Television footage clearly captured the heated scene — players surrounding Yamal as emotions ran high. Although tempers flared, the confrontation was eventually diffused before it could spiral out of control. Still, the incident quickly became the talking point of the evening, overshadowing even the on-field brilliance of Mbappé and Bellingham.

Yamal’s recent behavior had already stirred controversy before the game. During a segment on Ibai Llanos’ Kings League, he made comments suggesting that Real Madrid cheats, which sparked outrage among Madrid supporters and players alike.

His words, paired with his promise that he would score in El Clásico, added extra fuel to the rivalry. Unfortunately for him, he endured a disappointing performance on the pitch and faced backlash from Madrid players afterward.
