Real Madrid C.F. is contemplating a move for a Manchester City player valued at £56 million if the Mbappe deal falls through.

Real Madrid is in need of reinforcing their striker position after a summer revamp that left a crucial void following Karim Benzema’s departure.

Joselu’s arrival, while tactical, doesn’t quite fulfill the role of the frontline leader necessary for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to contend for major titles.

Initially, it was expected that Real Madrid would secure a top-tier forward to fill the void left by Benzema.

Names like Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, Dusan Vlahovic, Randal Kolo Muani, and others were linked to the club. However, they only managed to secure Joselu, on loan from Espanyol.

While Real Madrid has been linked to Erling Haaland in recent rumors, it seems they also have their eye on one of his Manchester City teammates—Julian Alvarez.

Fichajes, via Caught Offside, reports that Real Madrid is monitoring Alvarez, an adept striker from Manchester City, and he’s made Ancelotti’s shortlist.

Although Alvarez struggled to secure regular appearances for Manchester City last season, this season he seems to have become a crucial part of Pep Guardiola’s plans.

At just 23 years old, Alvarez is recognized as one of the world’s most talented young players, showcasing his skills at both club and international levels. He played a vital role in Argentina’s recent World Cup victory.

Acquiring a player of Alvarez’s caliber would be a prudent move for Real Madrid. However, striking a deal for the Argentine may pose challenges, especially considering his increased playing time with Manchester City.
