Breaking: “Not in my plans anymore. Find a new club or warm the bench till season end,” Mikel Arteta instructs a key player, not Jorginho, Nketiah, or Ramsdale, to depart after a disappointing performance against Spurs.

Mikel Arteta receives backing to potentially let go of an Arsenal player in January due to persistent concerns, with hints at the player’s potential next club.

Arsenal invested significantly during the summer to bridge the gap with Manchester City.

Notable signings included David Raya, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and Kai Havertz, amounting to a combined transfer fee of £208 million.

Rice swiftly assumed the holding midfield role under Arteta’s strategy, while Martin Odegaard and either Havertz or Fabio Vieira flanked him.

Consequently, Thomas Partey found himself without a defined role in midfield and was temporarily placed at right-back early in the season.

However, Partey, now 30, has faced recurring injury setbacks during his tenure at Arsenal. Currently sidelined with a groin issue, he has been plagued by various injuries.

Over the summer, the Saudi Pro League and Juventus expressed interest in Partey.

Juventus could revisit this interest in January following Paul Pogba’s provisional suspension due to a failed anti-doping test, potentially cutting short Pogba’s tenure at the club.

Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor believes Arsenal should consider letting Partey go, emphasizing his history of injuries, which he fears will worsen as Partey enters his 30s.

Agbonlahor suggests that Partey’s inconsistency and injuries raise questions about his contribution, leading him to suggest that Arsenal should consider a sale.

He also advocates for seeking a long-term replacement, considering the uncertainty surrounding Partey’s fitness.

Should Arsenal decide to sell Partey, Juventus emerges as a potential destination given their prior interest and Pogba’s situation.
