Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is poised for a sensational return to the Premier League as he is on the verge of joining a particular club.

West Ham is reportedly considering the revival of their pursuit of Jose Mourinho, who is set to depart from Roma in the upcoming summer.

The renowned “Special One,” Jose Mourinho, is anticipated to leave the Italian giants Roma at the conclusion of the current season.

Mourinho’s contract with Roma is set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 Serie A season, and it appears unlikely that he will extend it, particularly given the challenges he has faced in motivating his Giallorossi players this season.

According to reports from TeamTalk, Mourinho is most likely to part ways with the club next summer. Presently, the club sits in seventh place in the Italian top division, trailing the leaders, Inter Milan, by eight points.

A new challenge awaits Mourinho, with a potential return to the Premier League on the horizon. Back in March, LaRoma24 had reported on a surprising offer made by West Ham to Mourinho. He was flattered by the offer but declined it at the time because his focus remained on Roma.

However, the situation has since evolved, and with West Ham actively seeking a replacement for David Moyes, it appears to be an opportune moment for Mourinho to rekindle his association with the English top flight, in a city he is quite familiar with.

Bringing the Special One on board makes perfect sense for West Ham if they wish to sustain their upward trajectory and not let their Europa Conference League title victory become another ‘once in a lifetime’ achievement.

Certainly, financial investment in the team will be required to make Mourinho comfortable with the idea, but as the club demonstrated in the previous transfer window, funds will be made available for the right players.
