According to The Telegraph, the penalty for violating PSR rules could range from six to fifteen points. While a 15-point deduction seems unlikely, a 10-point penalty would still set a new record for the Premier League, surpassing previous sanctions.
Earlier this year, Leicester City disclosed losses of nearly £90 million, making it clear that they were struggling to stay within the financial limits set for clubs.
The club was charged in March for violating the PSR rules over a three-year period ending in the 2022-2023 season. To avoid further violations, Leicester will likely need to generate significant revenue by the end of June, which will limit their ability to spend freely in the summer transfer window.
The severity of the potential penalty has precedent in the league. Last season, Everton and Nottingham Forest faced points deductions of eight and four points, respectively, for similar PSR violations.

Adding to their woes, Leicester City is at risk of losing their manager, Enzo Maresca, to Chelsea. Maresca, who played a crucial role in their promotion, is reportedly in discussions with Chelsea about becoming their new manager.
Sky Sports has indicated that Leicester City has granted Chelsea permission to speak with Maresca, and the negotiations are progressing favorably for Chelsea.
